12/6/19
Final legs home.  We have had a great week.  Our last post I reported our satisfaction with the well. WELL, when we returned to the village we discovered problems that required us to pull the pump from 185’.  After pulling and switching the pump we lowered it to the bottom again only to discover it didn’t work.  Egg on Mike’s face for not testing before lowering it. Out again all 180’.  I’m thankful for the strength of Justin, Bill and Krister; but there is no way we could have done it without the locals.  After struggling with wiring problems we have a well pumping about 650 gallons a day.

The ladies finished up with kids today. Cindy Scott teaching a very animated story about the death and resurrection of our Savior. The kids loved their games and crafts and we saw them proudly displaying some of their art work in their modest homes. Soccer balls flying every which way and jump ropes and of courses cookies and candy.
We ended our time with a celebration with the church and a send of prayer from the pastor while he held a cup of cold water and gave thanks.

Traditional last supper of steak and baked potatoes and now the long drive tomorrow to Guatemala City.  Thanks again for your faithfulness in prayers. Lord willing see you soon, mike d

  1. Praise God, it sounds like a VERY successful trip with the usual challenges...although they sounded literally heavy! Praying for your safety and health as you return home and look forward to seeing all of you at LBC and hearing more details about the trip! For all of us who could not go, thank you for sharing Jesus! Bless each of you, Jean
